The planned agency-wide winter album, “2022 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU PALACE,” will contain never-before-seen collaborations with SM artists and was announced earlier this month by SM Entertainment.

The first collaboration will be with Red Velvet and aespa, who, on December 10 at midnight, KST revealed the release date and teasers for “Beautiful Christmas”! The “Beautiful Christmas” release is scheduled for December 14 at 6:00 PM KST.
Red Velvet’s popular albums and songs of 2022 other than “Beautiful Christmas.”
The group revealed the release date for Bloom, their debut Japanese studio album, on December 10, 2021. The album’s lead song is “Wildside.” Its release date was initially scheduled for February 2, 2022. However, production issues forced a change on January 14. Later, it was revealed that April 6 would now be the album’s new release date.
On February 21, Red Velvet opted to play live on March 19–20 as part of a special event called “The Reve Festival: Prologue.” Since Joy, Irene, and Yeri tested positive for COVID-19 on March 14, the event has been postponed till further notice.
Red Velvet Group’s sequel to their 2019 trilogy The Reve Festival, The Reve Festival 2022 – Feel My Rhythm, and its first song, “Feel My Rhythm,” was released on March 21, 2022.
On November 28, 2022, the group dropped the EP The Reve Festival 2022 – Birthday and its lead track, “Birthday.” The trio will collaborate on the song “Beautiful Christmas” with labelmates Aespa for the SM Town album 2022 Winter SM Town: SMCU Palace on December 14, 2022.
