Don’t Worry Darling; the film might be Oscar-nominated for the Best Music Original Score
Don’t Worry Darling is already a fan-favorite and achieved the ‘Best Drama Movie ‘ award in 2022 PCA.
Olivia Wilde is the director, and Katie Silberman is the writer of the 2022 American psychological thriller film Don’t Worry Darling. Carey Van Dyke, Shane Van Dyke, and Silberman contributed to the spec script. The cast is Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Wilde, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll, and Chris Pine. The story revolves around a perfect homemaker who begins to suspect that the town’s tyrannical leader is keeping a lethal secret from the residents. At the same time, she resides in a business town.

After Wilde’s second feature film, Booksmart (2019), became a commercial and critical success, several studios fought for the chance to make it; in the end, New Line Cinema won. Styles replaced Shia LaBeouf in the cast in September of the same year after Pugh joined in April. Shooting in Los Angeles started in October 2020 and continued until February 2021. Contradictory claims of LaBeouf’s departure and supposed difficulties between Wilde and Pugh were among the purportedly challenging production issues that generated media attention and discussion surrounding the movie.
Don’t Worry Darling, a movie from Warner Bros. Pictures, had its 79th Venice International Film Festival premiere on September 5, 2022, and went on general release in the US on September 23. The film received mixed reviews from critics who praised Pugh’s performance, the photography, and the set design while criticizing the plot and direction and making analogies to similar movies like The Stepford Wives (1975) and Get Out (2017). The film made $86 million against a $35 million budget.
According to The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science data, the Film achieved a 2023 Oscar (95th) nomination with the best music score.
