James Cameron is rumored to be given the studio a 9-hour edit of “AVATAR 3” to Disney and intends to make cuts after the VFX is finished.
Cameron said about Avatar parts 2 & 3,” For Avatar 2 And 3, The Studio Gave Pages Of Notes As Feedback For The Script. But For Avatar 4, The Studio Was Highly Impressed And Provided No Notes, And Just Replied With “Holy Fuck.” Avatar 4 Is Scheduled For Release In 2026.”

More About Avatar 3 by James Cameron
James Cameron is the director, writer, co-producer, and co-editor of an upcoming American epic science fiction movie whose working title is Avatar 3. It is a follow-up to Avatar 2, “Avatar: The Way of Water,” and the third installment in James Cameron’s Avatar film series (2022). Cameron and Jon Landau are producing the movie.

The writing process involved James Cameron, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman, and Shane Salerno. Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, Giovanni Ribisi, CCH Pounder, Matt Gerald, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Brendan Cowell, and Britain Dalton return as their characters from previous movies, while Michelle Yeoh, Oona Chaplin, and David Thewlis play brand-new roles. According to Cameron, the title Avatar: The Seed Bearer is a contender for the movie.
Following the massive success of the original movie in 2006, Cameron stated that he would recreate Avatar sequels if it were successful at the box office; he announced the first two sequels in 2010, with Avatar 3 aiming for a 2015 release.

To give the team more time to work on the scripting, pre-production, and visual effects, three further sequels (to the original one) plus the need to build new technology. And it will help to film performance capture underwater scenes, a feat that has yet to be accomplished that caused substantial delays. Avatar 3 began filming in New Zealand on September 25, 2017, at the same time as Avatar 2 titled, “Avatar: The Way of Water,” and it will take more than three years to finish.
Release Date of Avatar 3
The most recent postponement of the movie’s theatrical premiere, initially set for December 20, 2024, happened on July 23, 2020. Two more sequels, scheduled to release on December 18, 2026, and December 22, 2028, respectively, are in various stages of production.
What will the title of the Avatar Part 3 film be?
Although the name of Avatar 3 hasn’t been officially announced, we could already know it.
The four Avatar sequels will be titled Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider, and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa, according to a November 2018 BBC News story.
Considering that the sequel’s title wasn’t revealed until the first teaser in May 2022, we won’t find out for a time.
Who will be returning to the Avatar 3 cast?
Given that Avatar 3 and the follow-up were both in production simultaneously, there are already a few confirmed returns for the upcoming picture, including Sam Worthington as Jake Sully and Zoe Saldana as Neytiri.
The rest of the Sully family includes Trinity Jo-Li Bliss as their youngest child Tuktirey, Jamie Flatters as their second son Lo’ak, and Jamie Flatters as their oldest child Neteyam, who is likely to return as well.

While Jack Champion plays Miles “Spider” Socorro, a human born on Pandora who is now a member of the family, the Sully family also adopted Kiri, voiced by Sigourney Weaver, who previously played Dr. Grace Augustine in the series.
Additionally, Stephen Lang will return as Colonel Miles Quaritch, a Recombinant Na’vi avatar who has been imbued with Quaritch’s memories. That is hardly a spoiler because Cameron has always stated that Quaritch will serve as the main antagonist in each of the four sequels.

Tonowari, the chief of the Metkayina, and Ronal, his wife, will play both Kate Winslet and Bailey Bass, while Tsireya, their daughter, will play Bailey Bass.
With David Thewlis coming in a covert capacity, Michelle Yeoh portraying Dr. Karina Mogue, Oona Chaplin playing Varang, and possibly Vin Diesel playing an unidentified figure, we can also anticipate some newcomers in the third film.
