A 13-foot baseline jumper was hit by Grant on Friday at the buzzer after an extraordinary in-bounce pass from Justice Winslow. After crushing the Suns, the Portland Trail Blazer set the best record in the Western Conference with 6-2 wins.
Jeremy Grant scored a season-high 30 points with a 6-foot-8 forward shot 10 of 17 from the field and five assists last night.
The Portland Trail Blazer squad was down to the last second when Winslow hurled a high in-bound pass to Jeremi, who got the ball and threw a high-curving 13-foot jumper in the air. Devin Booker scored a 3-pointer to put the Phoneix Suns ahead 106-104 with around 30 seconds left, only minutes after Jusuf Nurkic sank his own 3 to put the Blazers up 104-103.
Nurkic scored 14 points and eight rebounds to tie the game at 106-all with his putback after a controversial rebound with 23 seconds left.
