Halloween is over. So, the “Queen of Christmas” rushed to social media with a seasonal social post on 1 November. Mariah Carey has officially defrosted, and she gets into Christmas mode. Her Christmas spirit flows in the new clip: “It’s Time.”
Mariah Carey is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. Referred to as the “Songbird Supreme” by the Guinness World Records, she is noted for her five-octave vocal range, melismatic singing style, signature use of the whistle register, and songwriting.
Carey is the so-called “Queen of Christmas,” with her 1994 holiday original topping the Billboard Hot 100, ranking as the most popular song on the Billboard Holiday 100.
About The Clip: “It’s Time”
The 5-time Granny winner shared a 30-second clip on her Twitter and Instagram accounts, in which she’s seen riding a Peloton bike while decked out in Halloween gear. She squeals in the clip, “It’s time,” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
Carey is instantly seen dressed in a festive outfit as the opening of her iconic Yuletide track “All I Want For Christmas Is You” plays in the background.
Her gift of Christmas spirit continues to grow in the U.K., where “All I Want for Christmas Is You” finally hit No. 1 in December 2020 — 26 years after its release. That long journey to the summit set a new chart record. Several weeks later, the record was broken again when Wham’s “Last Christmas” finally claimed the crown, 36 years after its original release.
Mariah Carey is set to start her festive “Merry Christmas to All” mini-tour in December, which consists of four shows in total taking place in New York and Toronto.
Carey’s spectacular shows are scheduled for two dates; however, the singer added a couple more performances starting Dec. 9 in Toronto, where she will also perform on Dec. 11.
