Toronto Raptors beat the Atlanta Hawks on Oct 31, 2022, at 11:30:00 PM UTC, at Scotiabank Arena. Raptor Scottie Barnes gave a spectacular performance. He added 19 points and 14 rebounds, and the Toronto Raptors clinched a playoff berth by beating the Atlanta Hawks 118-108.

Barnes worked hard after his rookie of the year campaign, which was visible in the last night’s match against Atlanta. He overcame his two offensive weaknesses the previous year; his jumper and handle were dancing Hawks swingman De’ Andre Hunter.
Toronto has won 12 of 16. This victory and Cleveland’s loss at Orlando ensured the Raptors (46-33) would finish no lower than sixth in the Eastern Conference.
”We did what we set out to do in the regular season,” VanVleet said. ”Now it’s time to go see what we can do.”

Scottie Barnes had 21 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds on Monday in the Raptors’ comfortable 139-109 win over Atlanta. With his playmaking, Scottie filled the gap in the absence of Fred VanVleet. Barnes also had a large chunk of the defensive assignment against Atlanta’s Trae Young, who missed 10 of his 13 field goals and turned the ball over ten times.
Scottie Barnes becomes the youngest Raptor with 20/5/5 and five threes in a game. He finished the game with a Career-High of five made three-pointers and scored a season-high 21 points. The 21-year-old Raptor has been efficient from the field so far this year, with no games shooting under 50%.
On Friday against Philadelphia, the 21-year-old took just seven field goal attempts — bewildering since the 76ers were playing without Joel Embiid. Scottie felt like an offensive afterthought, which was how things felt last year at points, too. It is why Raptors coach Nick Nurse pushed Barnes to shoot as often as possible last year: ” Barnes is too skilled to be a background character for the offensively challenged Raptors.”
