Sony announced that PSVR 2 will be launched on 22nd February 2023 for $549.99 / €599.99 / £529.99. Pre-orders open on 15th November. Sony will also sell a Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle with the system and the game for $600. The company will offer the PSVR 2 Sense controller charging station for $50.
PSVR 2 is Sony’s latest VR headset that’s exclusive to PS5. Formally revealed last year, we’ve been slowly getting a better look at what to expect ever since. PSVR 2 follows in the footsteps of the original PSVR headset, launched in 2016 for the PS4.
PSVR 2 will be available to preorder starting November 15 from Sony’s online store at direct.playstation.com for shoppers in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Preorder registration opens today, November 2.

The PSVR 2 requires a PlayStation 5 console, so getting up and running for Sony’s next-generation virtual reality experience will cost you around $1000 before taxes and other add-ons.
In other places worldwide, Sony will sell the PSVR 2 at “participating retailers,” Sony said, and preorders will also begin on November 15.
Speaking of games, Sony revealed 11 new upcoming PSVR2 games to go along with the price announcement. These include Switchback, a game’s latest entry in the Dark Pictures horror anthology series, a collection of the Jurassic World Aftermath games, and an enhanced version of the popular city-builder Cities VR.

Individual games, like Horizon Call of the Mountain, will open for preorder beginning in November. More details will be announced in the time ahead. Sony’s exclusive, Horizon Call of the Mountain, remains the PSVR 2’s splashiest game. But some other games are already announced, like: The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution; Resident Evil Village; Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge; and Demeo.
