Will Smith’s Comments on Will and Jada divorce rumors

Their relationship has come under scrutiny in recent years due to Jada Pinkett Smith’s claims about a sexual “entanglement” with another man and her husband Will Smith’s memorable slap in her defense at the Oscars last month.
Although there have been several reports claiming that the famous couple is getting a divorce, neither one of them has made any statements to support the rumors. Despite this, Will Smith and his wife have had multiple conversations over the course of their marriage about the prospect of getting a divorce.
When Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith tied the knot in December 1997, Jada was already seven months in her pregnancy with the couple’s first child, Jaden Smith. In a segment of his wife’s show on Facebook Watch called Red Table Talk, Will Smith famously referred to the dissolution of his first marriage as “the worst event in my adult life.” That marriage was to Sheree Zampino, to whom he had previously been married to. Will Smith was married for the second time at the time.
It seems as though the experience altered his thoughts toward marriage and divorce.
“There is no way that divorce could ever be an option. I stood up with Jada in front of God and declared, “Till death do us part,” ” In 2006, he gave an interview to MTV News. “There are, therefore, two different possibilities that could occur. It’s either going to end with me being dead, or it’s going to end with us being together till the very end.”
Jada Pinkett Smith has expressed feelings quite similar to this on multiple occasions. “If you marry me, you need to understand that we will spend the rest of our lives together. I told Will that as soon as he walked through the door. As a result of the fact that we are moving into the same house, I have concluded that there is absolutely no possibility that my husband and I will ever separate. She mentioned a conversation between them just before their wedding on an episode of Red Table Talk from 2018.
The thoughts of Smith about getting a divorce
Although both parties have stated that they are committed to making their marriage successful, it appears that they are continuing to engage in extramarital affairs. Jada Pinkett Smith disclosed the details of her long-term relationship with the musician August Alsina during yet another contentious episode of Red Table Talk that aired in July 2020.
She stated that her friendship with Alsina turned into “a new form of entanglement” when she and Will Smith were temporarily separated from one another.
In an interview with GQ published in 2021, Will Smith admitted that his wife was not the only one in their marriage with extramarital affairs.
According to sources, this shift from monogamy to a relationship with fewer traditional elements was directly due to issues that arose at the celebration of Jada Pinkett Smith’s fortieth birthday in September 2011, which Will Smith had organized.
Will Smith reportedly admitted in 2018 that his wife had termed the party “the most ludicrous parade of my ego” and that he had “snapped” due to her comments, as reported by E! News.
Will Smith stated in an episode of Red Table Talk from 2018 that although they “basically had to demolish our marriage” to make it work following the birthday party and his alleged outburst of anger, divorce was “never even an option.” Smith also stated that he and Jada Pinkett Smith had been together for over 20 years.
He went on to explain that he wasn’t going through another divorce because he had already been through one.
Jada Pinkett Smith also commented at the time that she didn’t see a possibility of a divorce. However, they did end up going their separate ways, which was the beginning of the period in Alsina’s life during which she became more of a romantic figure.
In spite of the fact that Jada Pinkett Smith regarded her time spent with Alsina as a journey on which “I learned so much about myself,” Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband were able to work things out and get back together.
“To obtain the solutions, you will have to sift through some crap. In addition, I couldn’t be happier because I’m confident that neither you nor I ever, in our wildest dreams, thought that we’d meet again. During the episode of Red Table Talk from the year 2020, she commented.
Will Smith emphasized that there are “no deal breakers” in their relationship during an appearance he made in 2018 on the Rap Radar show on TIDAL.
“She could never engage in any behavior resulting in the dissolution of our relationship. It is a beautiful feeling to get to that point, and she will have my support right up until the day I pass away, he said.
